Okay, the title might not sound relevant now but it will be later on. so, some producer guy and his wife who is my mom's boss came over to visit to chat and stuff, and they seem nice and all (the producer's chimichurri was fuckin' good, I'll give him that) and the producer complimented my art and stuff but then he started going on some tangent about how I should feed MY hard work to AI so I can 'animate it' and stuff. as you may know, I have VERY strong feelings about AI, and they're not exactly positive. Enough about that, though :p obviously I felt good when he complimented my stuff, but when he started mentioning AI and how "it's the future" in my mind I went "the fuck?" because I was genuinely lost on what he was talking about, and it all just felt surreal, though who am I kidding? It's the 2020's, everything's fucked anyways.

god, I hope the next decade will be better but seeing how everything's advancing and turning more awful by the day, I feel like there really is no hope anymore. I know I sound like an absolute edgelord, but man everything sucks right now. I really wish I could go back in time to an era that isn't so... threatening--to me, at least. but we can only go forward..

honestly ai to me seems like the opposite of art. art is supposed to have expression, and meaning. when you can just type in a prompt and make something that "does the job". that's not art, that's a product. you're right, everything is pretty crazy rn. but to me it makes things interesting, i suppose. either way, i try to avoid crazy headlines i think a lot of news orgs just fearmonger a lot these days.

i agree, and about the expression; it's so funny when AI 'artists' post vent 'art' because... how? are you sobbing while writing your little prompt? i also hate when people say that the prompt is an art in itself; the guy actually told me that! i was like: "...?" because, well, it just isn't, you know?

yeah, i'm not very aware of the news either way :P i don't use mainstream social media much and a lot of news are just concentrated there, so... yeah :P it's hard finding news sources that are actually reliable and align with my views and such ;I

Aw, does producer guy need robo-mommy to make art for him? Doesn't know how to pick up a pencil on his own? Does he need to be fed and have his diaper changed too? What a loser. TBH, I'm not even sure if I could trust that the stuff he makes is by his own hand if I were in your shoes.
