Deadjournal is still active but in order to use it you need to pay 15 to open an account ir get an access code. The community is very very small.

I saw there is a buzz on here that the non Russian side of livejournal might disappear and that people were advised to back up their data.

I’m newish and don’t have a livejournal so I don’t know the details of the situation but I do have a DJ so I thought I would chime in with info if it helps.
